Dr. Pribitkin supports the American Heart Association Heart Walk at Citizen’s Park in Philadelphia.

In my father’s memory, I am fighting heart disease and stroke by participating in the American Heart Association’s Start! Heart Walk. My father died of a massive heart attack before his 57th birthday. Heart attacks rob us of too many Happy Birthdays. Join me in my efforts to support American Heart Association-Philadelphia, PA!

Domestic Violence

Domestic violence is a serious health and social issue that affects all of us. Over five million women a year are affected by domestic violence in the United States; over one million victims require medical treatment. Thirty one percent of women murdered in 1990 were killed by husbands or boyfriends. Seventy-five percent of women who are in an abusive relationship receive battering to their face and head area. Dr. Pribitkin is proud to have served as president of the AAFPRS subcommittee on domestic violence. The AAFPRS National Domestic Violence Project provides free Reconstructive surgery to survivors of domestic violence. Advocates and/or survivors may call a toll-free number, 1-800-842-4546 to participate in or inquire about this service.

Dr. Pribitkin has often worked with overseas agencies to provide specialized medical care to patients who can not receive such care in their home countries. Recently, Dr. P treated a growth in the windpipe of an infant from Lithuania who had developed difficulty breathing. As you can see from these pictures, the baby has done well.
